The Hawker Hurricane is a British single-seat fighter aircraft of the 1930s-1940s that was designed and predominantly built by Hawker Aircraft Ltd for the Royal Air Force (RAF). Although overshadowed by the Supermarine Spitfire, the aircraft became renowned during the Battle of Britain, accounting for 60 percent of the RAF air victories in the battle and served in all the major theatres of the Second World War.

The HAWKER HURRICANE (one of our most successful designs) is scaled at 2.3 inches to the foot. The plans show all structures drawn full size including the installation of flaps and retracts. Full size templates are also shown for all ribs and formers. If you would like to purchase a wood kit see KIT CUTTER'S on selection bar at the top of each page.The parts available are: a fiberglass cowl, a fiberglass belly scoop, clear plastic canopy, a set of 6 vacuum-formed dummy exhaust stacks, carb intake scoop and an aluminum spinner and backplate. Primary construction is light plywood, balsa and spruce or pine using conventional building techniques. All structures are built-up. The rear portion of the fuselage and all control surfaces are prototypical fabric covered while the forward portion of the fuselage is sheeted with 1/8” balsa. The wings and stab are sheeted with 3/32” balsa. The Hurricane uses our Giant Scale Retracts with 5.00 diameter wheels and a 1/5 scale WW II pilot figure.
