The massive P-47 Thunderbolt, or "JUG" as it was affectionately known, was one of the largest fighters in WWII. It gained the reputation for being able to take a tremendous amount of punishment and still make it home. The model can be built as either the bubble-canopy or "razorback" D models as well as the long range "N" escort version.

The giant scale P-47 Thunderbolt 92" Plan shows both Bubble Canopy and Razorback Canopy versions. The plan set is 1/5 scale and consists of four large sheets that clearly illustrate all structure as well as showing installation of flaps and retracts. The P-47 Thunderbolt 92" plan shows the installation of Robart retracts, fixed wire gear, servos and Zenoah G-62 engine and features a one piece wing. The basic structures use conventional “modeling” tools and materials such as balsa and plywood, and the techniques are straightforward; easily accomplished by anyone with previous model building experience.
